Congressional Briefing: Catalyzing U.S. AgTech Innovation

We presented our newest report “Catalyzing U.S. AgTech Innovation: Opportunities for the Federal Government” in Washington, D.C., at a briefing at the U.S. House of Representatives Longworth Building.

Congresswoman Nikki Budzinski (IL-13) stated, “I'm excited to welcome Triple Helix to Capitol Hill as they lead the charge in advancing AgTech innovation.”

We were honored that former U.S. Secretary of Agriculture and Triple Helix advisory team member Dan Glickman attended and shared inspiring remarks as a call to action to prioritize agricultural resilience.

Triple Helix Founder and Executive Director, Sarah Garland, shared opening remarks and introduced the opportunities for the federal government highlighted in the report.

Congressman Jim Baird (IN-4) delivered comments at the event that emphasized his strong commitment to agricultural research and innovation, and Congressman Frank Lucas (OK-3) highlighted the importance of technology advancement in agriculture.

Panelists Mark S. Brooks, Ronald Meeusen, John Reid, and Nathan Pumplin contributed meaningful perspectives on AgTech spanning their experiences in venture capital, research, industry, and start-up leadership. The discussion reinforced the necessity of cross-sector collaboration for driving the U.S. AgTech space forward. 🇺🇸 🌱
